Rivermont is looking for a few good birders to help monitor the bluebird stations throughout the golf course. Actually, a few more than a few would be great. There are 25 birdhouses on the course (including one at the putting green and another at the chipping area). Ten are on the front 9, fifteen are on the back 9.
We would like to be able to set up some teams of folks to monitor the houses throughout the breeding season. Nest boxes are already being selected, and some nest construction has begun, so we should have Easter eggs! Well, more accurately we should have nests with eggs by Easter. Mark Hoban will be scheduling a walkthrough as soon as we’ve got enough people signed up – either next week (week of 3/30) or the week after (Masters week).
